Oberlin BPI Summer Scholarship 2021

Recorder Scholarship to Oberlin's Virtual BPI 2021

Thanks to the Ken Shaw Recorder Scholarship fund of the Baroque Performance Institute, we are making two full scholarships available to American Recorder Society members. The workshop is June 21 to 27, and is being held virtually. This scholarship will entitle you to full participation in the recorder masterclass, 1 free private lesson, access to master classes in other instruments, beginning gamba class, online concerts, lectures and more. Without the scholarship the fee is $300. BPI is a wonderful opportunity for serious students interested in learning more about baroque style and performing baroque solo sonatas. We hope to focus the class on Handel, Barsanti, Chédeville, Telemann, Veracini, and the Division Flute. Michael Lynn is the teacher of the class and will be available for private lessons.

We will be using harpsichord accompaniments from Continuo Lines
