American Recorder Society

The Guidebook to the
ARS Personal Study Program

Back to Member Page The American Recorder Society Personal Study Program provides recorder players with a structured program in technique, musicianship and performance repertoire. With significant contributions from recorder and other music teachers, it has been developed and revised by members of the ARS Education Committee as one approach to practicing recorder for skill improvement. If you do not already have experience in music, it will be very helpful to seek the assistance of a private recorder teacher.
You will find a list of ARS members who teach recorder in the members section of the website.
