American Recorder Society celebrates 75 years in 2014 and we stand at the cusp of opportunity. Together we have an opportunity to build our organization into an expansive resource for all levels of recorder playing through our interactive website, membership in our growing chapters, recorder orchestras and consorts and the many workshops and festivals that promote the recorder. Through our diverse backgrounds and commitments to the ARS, we have the opportunity to continue the many programs that focus on developing resources, presenting the recorder to new audiences, encouraging recorder players of all levels and enabling recorder playing as a social experience. I am excited to help lead our organization into the next 75 years.
