DONATIONS
How Your Donation Helps
Your gifts help us provide programs, services, and benefits that are important to recorder players. We work daily to promote the visibility, performance, and enjoyment of the recorder throughout our community.
For decades, hundreds of scholarships, professional grants, and educational awards have been given to deserving members of our large recorder community.
For over seventy years the ARS has delivered resources and opportunities to our recorder world:
- Hundreds of scholarships awarded for students and amateurs to attend recorder workshops
- Funds granted from the Professional Development Fund for professionals to enrich their teaching or performing careers
- American Recorder Magazine published five times annually with three issues containing newly available music
- Grants awarded to ARS Chapters for creative membership enhancing projects
- Showcase provided for new composers for the recorder to distribute their works
- Recorder Goes to School, database created for recorder performers who present educational programs in schools
- Personal Study Program, online and print resource for players who wish to improve their playing skills
- Instructional videos offered at no charge on our webpage
But membership dues only cover about 40 percent of the funds needed to provide the publications, scholarships and grants, and educational resources upon which our recorder community depends.
To fill that gap, we rely upon your support and that of others that understand the value of the recorder and its music.
Please make a gift to the American Recorder Society today and support the future of the recorder!
