The Warrensburg Recorder Consort has been in existence for approximately 30 years. It is a performing consort located in Warrensburg, Missouri, about 60 miles east of Kansas City, Missouri. Repertoire is mainly European Renaissance and classical music from all eras, and includes some folk music. Performance venues include/have included formal concerts, arts events, art gallery shows, weddings, incidental music for plays, and Renaissance Festivals. The most recent performance was a concert of American music in conjunction with the Smithsonian New Harmonies traveling exhibition. The group presently consists of nine players and is open to new members.
