Summer 2013 AR cover

2016 ARS Cover Art Contest Winner Chosen; 2017 Contest Now Open for Submissions!

The sixth annual American Recorder Magazine Cover Art Contest is over and the winner has been chosen! Congratulations to Dana Corbo, a 13-year-old seventh grader from Scottsdale Preparatory Academy in Scottsdale, AZ. The judges were enchanted by Dana's take on "American Gothic"* with the pitchfork replaced by a recorder. Dana's artwork will appear on the cover of American Recorder Society's September 2016 issue of American Recorder magazine. We would like to thank Travis Clement, Dana's teacher, for taking the time to send in the entries, and to all teachers and students who entered the contest!

The runners-up were:

Emily Stabilito, age 14, grade 8, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, Scottsdale, AZ
Parker Tieman, age 11, grade 6, Santa Fe Elementary, Waverly MO
